My first task was to choose my three favourite illustrators appropriate to what I wanted to create and the three had to have persific individualities.
I started off with a detailed artist who's talent lies with making illustrations look and feel alive - the famous Hayden Williams. Researching a lot of his images with a fine pencil media I sketched out one of his pieces which was a personal favourite.
My second design was the king of unwise illustrations and one of my favourite through the fashion illustration history the hidden son of the Adams family Mr Achraf Amiri. I love the skeleton structure figures and the bright bold colours Achraf Amiri uses.
I played around with media creating my own of the Lady Gaga illustration Achraf Amiri created using a combination of college and water pencils.
Finally the last brief for an illustration was an illustrator through the 1900's I chose the rated number 1 illustrator in the 'famous fashion illustrators' book - Antonio Lopez. I really linked Antonio Lopez work and media I found the colours and contrasts inspiring.
The next brief was to start researching for designers who inspired me ready to create a collection. I researched and researched not finding anything that I persificly like or inspired by. Until searching on Vogue and coming across the Louis Vuitton collection for Marc Jacobs. The dramatic inspiration of a show girl theme fulled with embellishment and big feathered hats took my imagination and inspration.
The theme of show girls Marc Jacob took and created a sensational collection inspired myself to create the imagination creating the same.
I started a mood board creating all my pieces together of the colour scheme illustrator and designer.
I created 12 pieces of haute couture evening wear using my imagination and inspration from the Louis Vuitton collection.
I used a luggage style packaging and a simple tear drop swing tag along with the Italian writing for my logo.
I also created a customer profile board ready to design a collection for my customers wants and needs.
My customer was a wealthy Russian socialite wanting a collection designed ready to wear at her fathers jewellers grand openings around the world.
I started sketching some poses for my designs a weakness of size 4-8 skinny models wearing a mask signifying the show girl theme.
I experimented with different medias using water colours, water pencils, fine liner and college. I found that they all worked well with each other and included them all in my FINAL 8 designs.
The end of my spring summer 2014 collection. Completed.
